By now, y’all know my love of words. I’m a ‘words’ girl. I use words to order my thoughts and express my feelings. I believe God has given me a gift to use words to encourage the discouraged, offer hope to the hopeless, and express God’s deep love to the ones who think they aren’t lovable. But, a gift is different than a calling. God calls all of His people to Love. Actively love. In fact, He says, the world will know we are Christians by our love (John 13:35). I love to write. LOVE it! But, even more than writing, I want people to know that Jesus loves them. That means, I must love people without hoping or expecting anything from them in return. It’s not a gray area. We love because He first loved us–wholly, completely, perfectly. Let’s not just tell people we love them, let’s show our love.
